A must visit when in DC or Virginia. Beautiful gardens and daily demonstrations of what life was like in the 1700s. Lots to see between the house, museum, and the tomb. Different every season.

A must see on any visit to the DMV. The house tour is as informative as it is beautiful. The views are breathtaking. Be sure to find a cozy spot to sit and enjoy the magnificent Potomac views.

Travel just west of the estate and see Mount Vernon as visitors would when they first arrived. You can easily see how they would be impressed, if not slightly in awe, of his home.

We were there for the Independence Day fireworks. You have to buy tickets and it can include a mansion tour. Bring your chairs, they have plenty of food and beverages to buy, relax, and enjoy!
